We are working with our Volunteer Product Managers (vPMs) to create a 3‑slide pitch deck that will be presented at the hackathon along with a Software Requirements Doc (SRD) for each nonprofit.

Nonprofit Problems Finalized

Kickoff: Welcome, logistics, and rules

Nonprofits pitch their problems to hackers. These are kept secret until just before the hackathon and are published on DevPost via an update which also is emailed to all hackers.

Nonprofit Pitches

Teams form and select their nonprofit problem to work on.
1. Listen to nonprofit pitches and rank your choices
2. Connect with others interested in the same problems if you don't have a team
3. Teams select their nonprofit problem
4. Begin hacking on your chosen project! [Create your team here](/hack/2026_fall/manageteam) – you need to do this before we give you your OHack t‑shirt.

World Institute for Action Learning

Established in 1995, the Chandler CARE Center is a school-based family resource center. The Center's mission is to promote students’ school readiness, attendance, and academic success by providing medical treatment, social services, parent education programs, and referrals. Most services are free of charge to families thanks to the many funders, professionals, and service organizations contributing financially and volunteering their services. The Center opened at San Marcos Elementary School in 1995, providing a small scope of essential services to Chandler and Chandler Unified School District youth. Over time, the community grew and our programs grew with it; in order to accommodate more services the free-standing Chandler CARE Center was opened on the campus of Galveston Elementary School in 2010
